Obituary for Connie Clover (Jones) Connie Dianne Clover, 61, of Murphysboro, passed away at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018, at her son’s home in Scott City, Missouri. Connie was born on November 26, 1956, in Wyatt, Missouri, to Maizie (Thomure) Rushing and Darrell Jones. She had worked as a truck driver with her husband, and she liked to sew.

Mrs. Clover was a member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Murphysboro. She was an outstanding person and a “great” grandmother. Connie married Bruce Clover on December 28, 1998, in Marion, Illinois, and he survives.

Other survivors include her mother and step father Maixie and Dave Rushing of Fancy Farm, KY, her father and step mother Darrell and Betty Jones of Cave Springs, GA, and her mother in law Jacqueline Clover of Murphysboro; two sons Benji Simmons and his girlfriend Anneliese, who helped take care of Connie of Scott City, MO, and Craig Wright; two grandchildren Lukas Simmons and Gabe Simmons; one sister Nellie Jones of Clarksville, IN; one brother in law Steven Clover of Murphysboro, and several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm.

Monday, September 17, 2018, at Elm Street Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Allen officiating and visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Her body will then be cremated.
