Obituary for Frank E. Stewart Frank E. Stewart, 85, of Murphysboro passed away at 6:40am on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Carbondale. Frank was born in DuQuoin, IL. , on February 16, 1933 a son to the late William and Pauline M. (Brumley) Stewart Batteau.

Frank was a member of the Murphysboro United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was the retired owner and operator of Stewart Auto Body in Murphysboro, and was a member of V.F.W. 7190 and the American Legion Paul Stout Post 127 both of Murphysboro, and was a former member of the Murphysboro Kiwanis Club. After he retired from Stewart Auto Body he was a school bus driver for Murphysboro schools.

Funeral Services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro; Rev. Larry Gilbert of the Murphysboro United Methodist Church will officiate. Entombment will follow at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park with military rites by American Legion Paul Stout Post 127.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until the hour of services on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance may be made to Residential Hospice or to the Murphysboro United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Kim Arnold of Marion, IL.

, one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Tracy Stewart of Murphysboro, five grandchildren, Jessica Arnold (Evan) Taylor, Jarrod Arnold, Jordan Arnold, Maggie Stewart, and Jacob (Audrey Vaughn) Stewart, two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley and George Frost of Murphysboro, Mary Ellen Pierson, and Darryl R. Huppert, and one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Sheila Stewart, all of Murphysboro, and two great-granddaughters, Macyn and Olivia Taylor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, William Stewart, one sister, Paula Kay Huppert and two infant sisters Wanda and Pauline Stewart To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Frank E.
