Constance’s Obituary Constance Garrey, 91, resident of Wethersfield, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 surrounded by her family. She now joins Siggy, her beloved husband of 62 years. Connie was born in Hartford on June 17th, 1927, the daughter of the late Michael Recanatini and Mary (Amaio) Lamotta.

She is survived by her five children, Wayne of San Bruno, CA, Cindy and her husband Ray Neshko of Winsted, CT, Rick and his wife Denise, Rob, and Janet, all of Wethersfield, CT. She also leaves her six adoring grandchildren Cassie, Alex, Josh, Sara, Taylor and Jamie. Connie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.

She also cherished her many close friends and neighbors, some of whom she knew for more than 60 years. This includes friends from her sewing and library groups who still meet regularly. She is also survived by her faithful furry companion Angel, who gave her so much joy every day.

She was predeceased by her son Ken. Connie’s family was the most important part of her life and the Sunday dinners at her house allowed her to be with immediate and extended family every week. Her home and heart were open to everyone, always with a hug, a smile and a kind word.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie’s name can be made to Mikey’s Place, www. mikeysplace.org, or the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington CT, 06111. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 19th from 9AM – 12PM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, with a Memorial Service at 11:30AM.
