Obituary for Constance M. Gerber Constance Margaret Gerber, of Manville, Hillsborough, and Raritan NJ, passed on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Born to the late Margaret and John Dudash of Manville NJ, “Connie” graduated from Bound Brook High School in June of 1948, married John Richard Gerber in the fall of 1948, and spent the majority of her life as a resident of Manville, NJ. Following the death of her husband, “Jack” in 1999, Connie moved to Hillsborough, where she remained until her residence at the River’s Edge Rehabilitation, in Raritan, NJ.

A voracious reader, Connie served as the switchboard operator of Somerset Medical Center, traveled frequently, and crocheted blankets for the children of sheltered mothers. Connie is predeceased by her parents, Margaret and John Dudash of Manville, NJ; her brother Col. John F. Dudash, a United States Air Force veteran; Robert Dudash of Cary, NC; her husband, Jack Gerber; and her son, John (“Jackie”) Richard Gerber III.

Surviving are her sister, Barbara Incao of Manville, NJ; daughters, Carol Marsicano, of Manville, NJ; Judith Donahue of Lebanon, NJ; and a son, Douglas of Everett, PA; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. You may pay your respects at the Ketusky Funeral Home, 1310 Brooks Blvd. , Manville, NJ, Friday, May 18, from 4 to 7 p.m..

Services will begin Saturday, May 19, at 9:00 a.m. at the Ketusky Funeral Home, followed by interment at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Manville Public Library, 100 South 10th Ave. , Manville, NJ 08835.
