Chel was born October 18, 1944, in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert Goodwin and her parents, Tito Martinez and Connie Jarvis.

She is survived by three siblings, seven children, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was employed as Administrative Personnel at The University of New Mexico for over 20 years in various departments before retiring from The Maxwell Museum of Anthropology in 2007. She was a lifelong fan of Lobos basketball and the Dallas Cowboys.

Memorial Service will be held at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th Street NW, Albuquerque, NM, on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. No reception, but please wear your happy colors as we are celebrating her life.
