Cora Jane Post age 82, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, St. Louis, MI, on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Terri Bentley officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI. Cora Jane was born in Fulton Township, MI on January 2, 1936, the daughter of Lloyd and Mildred (Johnson) Lewis. She graduated from Fulton High School with the class of 1952.

Cora Jane completed courses in accounting that lead her to the position of Vice President of Chemical Bank for over 40 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Alma Elks Lodge #1400 and First United Methodist Church of St. Louis, Michigan. On August 28, 1954, Cora Jane married Raymond Allen Post at the Eureka Christian Church, Eureka, MI.

Ray passed away on January 23, 2011 after 56 years of marriage. Cora Jane had a passion for her family and their friends who were always considered family. She always had an open door policy for everyone.

Cora Jane loved the cabin at Houghton Lake. She loved watching other people enjoy the cabin, and was the best short order cook for each one. Cora Jane enjoyed time spent with her sister at the Casino.

She was the sounding board for her family and always supported them. Her voice of wisdom and love will be missed by everyone. Left to cherish the memory of Cora Jane are 3 sons: Ken Post of St. Louis, Paul (Jenny) Post of St. Louis, and Al Post of St. Louis; 9 grandchildren: Katie (Matt) Wing, Stacey Post, Scott (Brittney) Mizer, Aaron Post, Cody Post, Skylar Post, Braelyn Post, Cooper Post, and Carson Post; and 5 great grandchildren: Connor, Parker, Harper, Bryan, and Lily.

She is also survived by sister Reva Kristin and brother Leon Lewis. Cora Jane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond (2011), son Davey Post on February 18, 2017, and brothers: Orvie Lewis and Bob Lewis.
