Obituary for Corine Veva Polly Corine V. Polly February 09, 1954 – December 16, 2018 East Wenatchee, WA Corine Veva Polly, 64 years of age, of East Wenatchee, WA, passed away early Sunday morning, December 16, 2018, after a long, courageous battle. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family at Central Washington Hospital. She was born in Redmond, OR, on February 9, 1954, to Butch and Veva Sturza, joining siblings: Ed, Carmen, and Rita.

Corine wed Ron Polly on July 12,1975, and has lived with him in East Wenatchee since 1986. Before retiring, she worked in Food Service for the Eastmont School District and was one of the lunch ladies at the Junior High, Sterling, and Clovis Point. After retiring, she and Ron spent time looking after grandchildren and spending winters in Arizona and Hawaii.

She was an avid reader, loved history, and recently, became a cooking show enthusiast. She was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church and then Eastmont Baptist Church. She joined her husband in activities with Vets Serving Vets, Combat Vets International, and VFW Post #3617.

Corine is survived by her husband, Ron; children: Brandy Fields of East Wenatchee, WA, Tyler (Renee’) Polly of Orting, WA, and Jolene (Riley) Cookson of Kea’au, HI; and sister, Rita McFarlane of Silver Lake, OR. She has five grandchildren she adored: Mikhail, Kaylee, Savannah, Ryann, and Evan. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ed Sturza; and sister, Carmen Parker.

The Family wishes to thank her doctors, Dr. Abbott, and especially, Dr. Newton for their relentless efforts in caring for her. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Eastmont Baptist Church, 400 S. Kentucky Ave. , East Wenatchee, WA, with a short reception afterwards.
