Corinne Hangartner, 53, of Silver Bay died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Carefree Living in Silver Bay, following a lengthy illness. She was born on January 10, 1965 to James Chupurdia and Virginia Hangartner in Two Harbors. Corinne grew up and spent most of her life in Silver Bay, where she was employed at Carefree Living.

Her focus in life was her children, grandchildren, and the rest of her family along with the residents and staff of Carefree Living. Corinne enjoyed making fleece tie blankets as gifts for others. She was a member of Sychar Lutheran Church in Silver Bay.

Corinne was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother, Virginia Hangartner; and sister, Michelle Jensen. She is survived by her son, Brandon Carlsness; daughters, Melanie and Megan Hangartner; grandchildren, Miles Aker, Greyson Carlsness; father, Jim (Maxine) Chupurdia; sisters, Debbie Johnson, Kimberly Chupurdia, and Heather(Bob) Buros; step-brothers, Jason(Debbie)and Jeff (Anessa) Andrews; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Carefree Living in Silver Bay.
