Obituary for Craig A. McDonald Craig A. McDonald, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at the age of 60. He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Kraemer; and father-in-law, Robert Schroder. He is the beloved husband of 29 years of Dawn Schroder McDonald.

He is the loving father of Ivy McDonald (Justin Anderson), and Kaci McDonald Buwe (Joshua). He is the devoted grandfather of Hunter Buwe. He is the loving son of Raymond Joseph McDonald.

He is the loving son-in-law of Clare Schroder. He is the brother of Connie McDonald Magee. He is also survived by a devoted cousin, Diane Ledet Spieler; godchildren, Dr. Bradley Spieler and Michael Lester; nieces, nephews, other family and numerous friends.

An avid fisherman and cook, Craig was a devoted family man. He was the owner of Air Cooled Engines Inc. in Harvey, LA. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A special thanks to the compassionate Dr. Mammoser and the staff of West Jefferson Medical Center, Culicchia Nuerological Center, and UAB Hospital staff in Birmingham, Alabama for their dedicated care; and the staff of Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in Birmingham. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 beginning at 8:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorials to the American Cancer Society.
