Obituary for Creston Ray Mills Creston Ray Mills passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 23, 1952 to the late Daniel and Peggy Mills. He grew up in the Black-Jack area but after meeting Barbara Ann (his wife), he moved to the Ayden area and there is where they started farming.

Farming was in his and mama’s veins. They both worked very hard and that is why they loved each other so much. they shared a passion for farming like no other one I have seen.

He loved it all, but he really loved his cows and chickens and working with his son taking care of the crops. He loved to hunt and fish, run dogs, and show dogs. He was a lifelong member of Calico Hunting Club.

He was also a member of Elm Grove FWB Church. His favorite thing to do was to steal the show and make people laugh, no matter what was going on. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Dunn Mills.

He is survived by one daughter, Misty Mills Pellington of Winterville, one son, Dickie Ray Mills and daughter-in-law, Amy, of Ayden. He had three very adventurous grandson’s, Daniel, Grant, and Will. He is also survived by one sister, Martha Lloyd of Grifton, and two brothers, Buck Mills of Greenville, and Arden Mills of Grifton, sister-in-laws, Phyllis Guinn of Grifton and Elaine Braxton of Ayden, one brother-in-law Bud Dunn of Ayden.

He also had special nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all that knew him. Visitation will held from 6-8 at Elm Grove FWB Church on Tuesday, May 29th.
