Obituary for Letha Jones Letha Hardy Jones, 99, of Kinston, formerly of Hugo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 30, 2018 at Harmony Hall of Kinston. She was born on February 5, 1919 in Pitt Co., NC to Frank and Janie Hardy. Letha was preceded in death by her first husband, Ola Jones; her second husband, Leamon Jones and both parents and siblings.

Survivors include special family friends, Sam Jones and wife, Lou and Jeanette Tyndall, all of Kinston; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends. Letha was a homemaker who enjoyed working alongside her husband. They were often found fishing and sharing the fruits of their hard work by selling the “catch of the day” to the local community.

She loved animals and would rescue every stray she came across if she could have. She was a faithful member of Mercy Fellowship Church in Kinston for many years. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday September 2nd at 3:00pm at Farmer Funeral Service-Chapel with Rev.

Sam Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Estates. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2-3 and other times at Sam & Lou’s home, 2569 Neuse Rd.
