Vickrey A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at Friend Public School in the old gymnasium with Rev. Paxaio Baptista officiating. Memorials have been established and may be directed in care of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services, Friend. Crystal Dawn Vickrey was born October 17, 1979 to Jerry and Pam Reed, the youngest of two children and passed away Saturday, March 16, due to an accidental house fire in Cordova, Nebraska at the age of 39. She attended Bradshaw Public School and graduated with the class of 1998.

Crystal was united in marriage to Robert “Vic” Vickrey on September 26, 2009 at the York Walmart where they both worked. Together they made their home in Cordova. Crystal was a Department Manager at the York Walmart.

She was an active supporter of Friend Public School through the Friend Booster Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling as long as she was able, reading, and spending time on facebook. She bowled for the breast cancer fund raiser, and also walked for MS.

Her favorite food was her mother’s stroganoff and Crystal made the best meatloaf, even though she didn’t like it. Her favorite holiday was Christmas where she enjoyed spending time with her family and decorating the tree. She enjoyed dressing up for a “theme” for all the holidays and other special events.

Crystal is survived by her husband, Robert “Vic” Vickrey, Cordova, children, Breanna Newsome, Cordova, Keagan Newsome, Cordova, mother, Pam Spies, York, father and step-mother, Jerry and Mary Reed, OK, step-son and wife, Robert J. (Andrea) Vickrey, Aurora, CO, step-daughters and husbands, Dawn R and Jeff Munson, Milford, Alia M. and Anthony Vickrey-Kreider, McCool Junction, grandchildren, Aviana Fernandez, Robert A. Vickrey, Kyron Vickrey, Dalton Munson, Darrin Munson, Dominic Munson, brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Stacy Reed, aunts and spouses, Gina (Rick), Smyrna, TN, Sharon Meriwether, Omaha, Barbara Dunham, Smyrna, TN, several cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Junior Spies, grandfather, Larry Dunham.
