Crys was born March 21, 1929 in Ellis Corners, the daughter of Lewis and Maggie (Bennett) Rigelman. She married Warren Parson on December 27, 1974 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 2010.

Crys enjoyed doing family genealogy and crocheting. She was known for the wonderful pies that she made. Crys is survived by her daughter-in-law: Janice Casella of Battle Creek; 2 grandsons: Jarrod (Cheyenne) Casella of Nashville, MI and Brandon Casella of Ann Arbor; and her nephew: Bill (Jeri) Selby of Gays Mills, WI.

Besides her husband Warren, Crys was preceded in death by her daughter: Mary English; her son: David Casella; her sister: Rosie June Gates; and her infant brother: Don Rigelman. A graveside service for Crys will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Battle Creek Memorial Park, Battle Creek. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
