Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the age of 69 years. The son of the late Weldon and Ruth (Preuss) Sheltraw was born on March 7, 1949 in Saginaw. He served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam.

Curt married Janis Taylor on September 8, 1973; she survives him. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear and was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hemlock. Curt enjoyed the outdoors, often hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.

He also liked to cheer on his favorite sports teams. Surviving besides his wife of 45 years, Janis, are their children: Kelly (Tony Gonzalez) Sheltraw, Kerry (Robert) Laviolette, grandchildren: Dylan, Emma, Josiah, Luke, his sister Connie (Jim) Krueger and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In accordance with Curt’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced later.
