Daniel E. Weltzien, 86, of Rittman, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the Avenue of Medina. Daniel was born June 13, 1931 in Wadsworth, Ohio to Clyde and Geneva {Everhard} Weltzien. He served in the U.S. Navy and reserves.

He married Glenna Petak. She died previously. He started Skypark Airport.

He was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Wadsworth. He loved Airplanes, motorcycles, guns and bluegrass music. Daniel will be deeply missed by his children Greg Weltzien of CO, Holly Stack of AK, Kevin (Sue) Weltzien of Wadsworth, Amy (Tim) Webster of Wadsworth; grandchildren Crystal (Mike) Gergye, Amanda Weltzien, Eamon (Audry) Stack, Trinity Stack, Elsa Weltzien, Tonya Laudermilk, Lidi Webster; great-grandchildren Jaxon Weltzien, Orion Stack; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Joel Kull; and beloved dog Jenny.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Catherine Scalise, and Norabelle Honert. Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Jackie McMillian officiating.
