Daniel’s Obituary Daniel Edward Paxton, 69, of La Monte, MO, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. Daniel was born on December 17, 1949, in Sedalia, MO, the son of George Paxton and Lucille “Lucy” (Smith) Paxton. He was a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and worked for Duke Manufacturing for over 40 years.

He was a man of Christian faith and believed in random acts of kindness. Daniel was a huge Civil War enthusiast. He tirelessly read history books and soaked up every bit of information he could find.

He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, or metal detecting with his fiancée, Anna Hamrick. He was one-of-a-kind, selfless, and would do anything for anybody. His family was most important to him, and he showed his love to them at every opportunity.

Survivors include his fiancée, Anna Hamrick; son, Ryan Paxton (Tera Simmons); and grandchildren, Tristen Paxton, Jeffrey Paxton, and Ayla Huff. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Judy Hill. Private graveside services will be held at La Monte Cemetery at a later date.

Services are in care of Moore Funeral Home.
