Vera’s Obituary Vera “Joyce” Harding, 82 of Leeton, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home. Joyce was born November 24, 1936 near Chilhowee, daughter of Hadie A. and Mattie A. (Moore) Sutton. She graduated from Chilhowee High School and attended University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.

She was united in marriage to Julius R. Harding on March 16, 1955 in Warrensburg. Due to Julius’ military career, the couple resided at various places through the years. In 1973, the couple moved to Leeton and Joyce went to work at Unitog.

She was a member of First Baptist Church and Silver Haired Legislature. She was also an avid reader. Survivors include two sons: Roger L. Harding of Leeton, MO and Scott A. (Angela) Harding of Versailles, MO; sister-in-law: Pam Harding; brother-in-law: Ralph Barnhart of Chilhowee, MO; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius in December of 2003; three children: Robin Harding, Stanly Harding and Brenda Kay Burns; sister: Nina Barnhart; granddaughter: Christina Harding and two great grandchildren: Chase Harding and Tara Harding.
