Paul’s Obituary Paul Mitsdarffer, 94 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at his home. Paul was born July 19, 1924 in Pesotum, Illinois, son of John A. and Anna M. (Kaufmann) Mitsdarffer. He served in the United States Army from 1944 to 1946, in the 2nd Armored Division, at the Battle of the Bulge.

Upon discharge from active duty, he returned to Illinois. Paul did various jobs through the years including driving a cattle truck and later, he owned and operated a LP Gas Company in Gifford, Illinois. In 1962, he moved to New Mexico and started working at White Sands Missle Range in Alamogordo.

Paul was united in marriage to Donna Mae Andrews on April 25, 1970 in Las Vegas. He retired from White Sands in 1985 and the couple moved to an acreage south of Warrensburg. During this time, he did welding and fabrication for many of the local farmer.

More recently, he made grills and smokers. In 2010 the couple moved to town. Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #2513; American Legion, Post #131; and also Elks Lodge #125 in Sedalia. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, especially barbeque. He was known for his spaghetti and shrimp sauce.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; daughter: Joyce (Mark) De Lanoy of Las Cruces, NM; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded by two sisters: Florence Hess and Mary Mitsdarffer; and six brothers: Wendell, Clarence, Roman, Wilbur, Fritz and Mark. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warrensburg with Fr.

Joe Bathke Officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, with Full Military Honors provided by United States Army Honor Guard, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #2513 and American Legion, Post 131. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Friday at the church.
