Daniel P. Carns, 76 of Ligonier, died unexpectedly Sunday November 18, 2018 at his home. He was born July 13, 1942 in Ligonier a son of the late Pealer P. and Margaret Heffelfinger Carns. Dan loved his family and spending time with his friends.

He was well known and liked in the Ligonier Area. He always had a smile on his face and had a great sense of humor. When able, he always enjoyed golfing and hunting.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Donald P. and Robert Carns. Dan is survived by his sons Daniel P. Carns Jr. and Mark J. Carns both of Ligonier. His grandaughter Danielle Renee Carns of Little Rock, AK, a brother Tom Carns of Ligonier and his sister Vivian Fulmer of Havre DeGrace, MD.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry where a service will be conducted Wednesday at 11am. Private interment will be made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.
