Danny B. “Beetle” Bailey, 68, husband of Elaine Hayes Bailey, died Friday, May 10, 2019, at his residence. Mr. Bailey was born on March 2, 1951 in Savannah, GA, son of the late Eathon Bailey and Margaret Daniel Bailey. He was a retired Signal Technician with CSX for 41 years.

Mr. Bailey was a member of Christian Fellowship Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lake City Masonic Lodge, Brotherhood of Railroad Signalman, Omar Shriners and American Red Cross. Surviving are his wife, Elaine Hayes Bailey of Coward; daughter, Sheila (Kelvin) Chandler of Coward; son, Reginald (Brystal) Bailey of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Cody (Rikka) Chandler and Dana Chandler, both of Coward, Jackson Bailey and Savannah Bailey, both of Johnsonville; great granddaughter, Paisley-Grace Chandler of Coward; and a sister, Dell (Bob) Ford of Pittsboro, NC. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Emerson and Earline Hayes and a great grandson, Bentley Chandler.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton. Memorials may be made to the SC Conference IHPC, Mobile Feeding, PO Box 1689, Lake City, SC 29560.
