Danny Ray Brooks, 63, resident of Greenwood, husband of Willene Brooks, passed away Saturday September 15, 2018 at the Spartanburg Medical Center. Born on November 17, 1954 in Omaha, NB, he was the son of the late Jack and Marilyn Addy Brooks. Danny was a graduate of Greenwood high school and spent his career working in carpentry.

Danny was a great worker and made lasting friendships with his fellow coworkers. In addition to his wife, Danny was left behind by a loving family which he cared for deeply including his three daughters, Melissa Brooks of Greenwood, Andrea Faire of Simpsonville and Kortney with her husband Shahid of Simpsonville, his two sons, Devin Brooks and Darris Brooks both of Greenwood , stepchildren, Wendy White, Erick White and Torshia White.

He was also survived by his adored grandchildren, Malazia Brooks, Nineshia Robinson, CreShaun Robinson, Darris Brooks Jr, Deaisha Brooks, Taylor Brooks, Danielle Brooks, Dylan Brooks, Tandre Smith, Makenzie Parks, London Martin, Devyne Brooks, Devin Brooks Jr., Raelyn Brooks and five step grandchildren; his siblings whom he loved as well, Debbie Fountain, Derrick Brooks, Dustin Brooks and DeeAnn Brooks. A celebration of life will be held at 4pm on Wednesday, September 19 from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with his nephew, Travis Fountain officiating. The family is at the home of his daughter Melissa at 212 Georgia Ave and will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
