Obituary for Mrs. Darla Dee Gilliam Darla Dee Gilliam (nee Spencer) age 71 years of Pitman died Friday December 14, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. Darla was born in Woodbury and raised in Clarksboro. She was a homemaker.

Darla was an artist who painted, knitted hats and baby blankets as well as crocheting teddy bears to give to hospital patients. She was a member of Good Sam Camping Club and traveled the United States. Darla always enjoyed happy hour with a cold Coors Light in her gazebo by the pond.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard F. Gilliam of Pitman; her children, Debbie Dawn Gilliam of Clarksboro, Ronald F. and Barbara Gilliam of Mantua, Dana Gilliam of Pitman; her grandchildren, Dean, Brittany, Ronnie Jr., Taylor, Devonie, Chandler and Vivian; her father, William Spencer of Big Pine Key, Florida; her sister, Pam Piccone of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and her dog, Pickles. Darla was predeceased by her mother, Betty Spencer. The Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM Wednesday December 19, 2018 in McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday morning after 11 AM until service time. Inurnment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
