Darlene McKinzie passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the age of 77. She was born on October 10, 1940, to Richard Allen and Thelma Lee (Roberts) Davenport in Pecos, Texas. Family visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 24, from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 25, in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with John Croy, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.

Darlene attended Duncan Catholic and public schools. She was employed as a caregiver. She enjoyed gardening, making flower arrangements, and decorating her home.

She enjoyed reading do-it-yourself books. She also enjoyed watching western movies with John Wayne and Burt Reynolds’ movies. Darlene is survived by her three sons, Robert Allen and wife Susan Whitley of Hollywood, Maryland, Gary and wife Terry Whitley of Yukon, and Lincoln Wayne and wife Melanie McKinzie of Duncan; 10 grandchildren, Rebecca Whitley, Matthew Whitley, Kevin Whitley, Kristen Hill, Brandon Mason, Leslie Hill, Michael Mason, Tale’ McKinzie, Autumn McKinzie, and Lincoln McKinzie; 6 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Kenneth and wife Lana Davenport of Arizona; and 1 sister, Beverly and husband Danny Wright of Duncan.
