Darlene Kay Holt October 31, 1936 ~ April 24, 2018 CLEARFIELD – Darlene Kay Holt, 81, passed away April 24, 2018 in Clearfield, Utah. She was born October 31, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Ralph and Elizabeth (Bessie) Cameron DeWees. In Chicago, Darlene married Leonard Gunty, together they had four children, they later divorced.

She moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she married Theral Jack Holt. They moved to Clearfield, Utah about 20 years ago. Darlene worked as a baker for years, later working for Davis School District as a lunch lady, where she could see her grandchildren during school.

She enjoyed quilting, loved to bake especially around the holidays, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she loved her dog Shiloh. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Darlene is survived by her children; Mark Lawrence (Nannette) Gunty, Layton, Utah, Kevin Paul (Kathy) Gunty, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Cheryl Lynn (Chip) Wuerz, Orlando, Florida, brother William DeWees, sister Nancy (Eugene) Bosco , ten grandchildren and four Great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Theral Jack Holt, daughter Diane Kay Purvis, her parents, and sister Bettie Lee Hornbeck Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. , Layton, Utah.

Friends may visit with family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
