Obituary for DARYL E. CARD Daryl E. Card, 67, passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 6, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Yukon Chapel in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 5529 Ditzler Rd.

Daryl was born September 4, 1950, in New Hampton, IA to Kenneth and Mae Card. During the Vietnam War, he served in the Air Force as an airplane mechanic in Thailand. Post military, Daryl attended Longview Community College where he met the love of his life, Rhonda (Hoffman).

In 1976, Daryl and Rhonda married and began building their life together. In 1980, they had their first son, Brian. In 1982, their son Jesse was born.

Daryl was loved by many for his warm personality filled with kindness, humor, and generosity. He was happiest when fishing and camping, watching sports, or simply spending time with his family and their lovable dogs. Daryl is survived by his wife, Rhonda Card, sons: Brian (Bianca) and Jesse Card, granddaughter: Alianna, and siblings: Idella Boschult (Dean), Karen Wilson (Greg), and Duane Card (Lin).
