Obituary for Gregory Scott Wain (Waisblum) Gregory Scott Wain (Waisblum), 59, died Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home after a 3 1/2 year battle with cancer. He was born November 25, 1958 to Richard (Dick) and Jan Waisblum in St. Joseph, MO. Greg was in the Boy Scouts of America and later became an Eagle Scout.

He was also a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He worked at EXLTUBE in Kansas City, MO until his death. Greg graduated in 1977 from Central High School in St. Joseph, MO.

He loved sports cars, music, and his family and friends. He played acoustic and lead guitar in earlier years at several venues in St. Joseph including Ground Round and Krug Park. He also played bass guitar with the band Brass Transit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Wain (Dick Waisblum), and his paternal grandparents, Nathan and Clara (Arst) Waisblum. Survivors include mother and stepfather, Jim and Jan Mallot, Raytown, MO, sister, Traci Lewis, Savannah, MO, nieces, Casey Nicole Lewis and Brynlee Lynn Neill, Avenue City, MO. , aunt, Janie Waisblum Byland (Dr. James), Key Colony Beach, FLA and several cousins.
