Patricia Ann Garlington, 67, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 18, 2018, at her sister’s home in Colleyville, Texas. Patricia was born on June 30, 1950 to the union of Elbert and YQ Garlington in Cleveland, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, two brothers, Elbert Garlington, Jr. and Eddie Lee Canady and one sister, Joyce Williams.

Patricia graduated from Sumner High School in May of 1969. She professed a hope and love of Christ at an early age and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church, under Pastor H.W. Bowen. Patricia continued to serve and became a member of the Usher Board, where she served until her illness in 2014.

Pat worked for the University of Kansas Medical Center Dietary Department for thirty years. She moved to Winston Salem, North Carolina for a short time, returning after her father’s passing and worked for Park University Maintenance Department. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending family events.

Patricia Ann Garlington leaves to cherish her memories, her son, Christopher Adair; her daughter, Ebony Garlington; three grandchildren: Gary Leaper, Jr., TayDean Leaper, and Royale Dotson; sisters, Cathy (Amos) McCluney and Yasmine Paschal; brother, Lee Arthur (Quitnetta) Canady; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Service for Patricia Ann Garlington will be held Saturday May 26, 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 901 Waverly Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Church.

Interment, Chapel Hill Cemetery.
