Elizabeth “Carole” Garry, 71, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away on May 14, 2018 after a short, unexpected battle with an aggressive cancer. She left peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones. Carole was born September 29, 1946 in North Kansas City, Missouri (“God’s Country,” as she called it) to Louis and Lola Miller where she attended North Kansas City High School.

She eventually made it South, graduated from the University of Central Missouri and then called Lee’s Summit home for over 30 years. Carole enjoyed a long career of teaching elementary school; however, her true passions were tending to her award winning garden & yard, creating a beautiful home to host get togethers for her dear friends, and spending time with her family. Carole was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mike.

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Dohm (Chris) and Alison LeCluyse (Ryan); brother, Louis Miller, Jr.; grandchildren: Ryland, Lorelei, Sydney, and Lane; and beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149 on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 am, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am.
