Obituary for Dave C. Hallison Dave C. Hallison, age 76, passed away April 12, 2018 after battling a long illness. Dave was born in St. Clair Shores, MI and enjoyed a long, thirty-plus years, career with ITW. He was married to his loving wife, Carole, on July 22, 1966 and enjoyed over fifty years of blessed marriage.

Dave will always be remembered as a generous and non-judgmental person–someone who got along with everyone, was willing to do anything for anyone, and was loved by all the neighbors. Dave was the type of guy who, when he asked how someone was doing, he really meant it. Put simply, Dave was a genuinely “big hearted” guy, and he was always a great provider for his family.

In his spare time, Dave loved hunting, fishing, and spending time Up North. As a Sagittarius, he was also quite adventurous in spirit. He and Carole took thirteen trips to the Caribbean, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii, and over the past six years enjoyed the “snow bird” lifestyle–spending several months in Ft.

Myers each winter. In fact, it was in Ft. Myers that Dave and Carole celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and renewed their vows as part of a surprise party arranged by their kids.

Dave was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Dave is survived by his wife, Carole (née Seter); his children: Jeff Hallison and Connie Hallison; his sister, Pat (Joe) Mandziaro; his brother, Rich Hallison; his sisters-in-law Ginger (Dick) Johnson and Donna (Jerry) Swanson; his brothers-in-law, Tom (Amy) Kjerrumgaard and Jerry (Barb) Kjerrumgaard; and his sister-in-law Kim Clancy. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Bob Seter.

Visitation will take place Sunday, April 15, 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4 PM at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home in Utica, 8459 Hall Rd. (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke).
