David Barrante Sr., 81, of Harwinton passed away on May 29, 2018. Born December 30, 1936 in Torrington, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Helen Barrante. He grew up in Torrington and Harwinton, and took over the family dry cleaning business, where he worked until retirement.

David was a member of the Harwinton Rod and Gun Club for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and was a talented artist. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Levesque) Barrante of Harwinton; daughter Cheryl Nowakowski and husband Ted of North Port, FL; son David Barrante and wife Caroline of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and grandsons Ryan Nowakowski and Brandon Barrante.

He also ! eaves behind his sister, Sally Nilsson, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Barrante.
