Romaine Gozemba, 88, of Torrington, CTpassed away Wednesday, May 2nd, at Hartford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Vincent Gozemba who died in 2015. Romaine was born in Luzerne, PA on August 24, 1929, a daughter of the late Ann (Cezarz) and Paul Porada.

She was retired from The Torrington Company as a Secretary to the Engineering Department. An avid reader, she and her husband traveled extensively and she loved to cook, crochet, and embroider. She is survived by a sister Ann Roy of Greensboro NC and nieces Christine Barnett of Chapel Hill NC and Karen Anderson of Greensboro NC.

and a nephew Paul Porada of Yarmouth ME, as well as several great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:30 AM on Monday, May 7th at Saint Francis Church in Torrington, CT with burial following at Saint Peter Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the Mass 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Phalen Funeral Home.
