Linda E. (Brown) Sody, 66, of Torrington, CT, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 7, 2018, after a long illness, with her primary caregiver and loving daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Stephen P. Sody, Jr. Linda was born on October 3, 1951, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Merton and Lillian (Carlson) Brown. Her favorite color was purple, her favorite flowers were lilacs and her favorite song was Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”.

She loved pets, especially her 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier named “Sassy”. She is survived by her daughter, Tara Sody of Torrington, CT; one sister, Sharon Barnes of Naugatuck, CT; a brother-in-law Richard Sody of Torrington, CT, as well as several nieces and one grand nephew. Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home, Torrington.
