Evelyn H Lukacs, 82, of Myrtle Beach, SC. , formerly of Torrington, passed away Thursday, June 7th,in Myrtle Beach. She was the husband of George Lukacs.

Evelyn was born in Torrington, CT on August 31, 1935, a daughter of the late Johanna (Slater) and George F Hyland. After retirement from SNET, she moved to Myrtle Beach over 20 years ago. In addition to her husband, she leaves a brother George Hyland of Rhode Island and sister Elizabeth Cowell and husband Wayne of Burlington.

She was predeceased by her daughter Evelyn Lukacs and sisters Mary Baker and Patricia Ragalye. Services will be held 9 AM on Saturday June 16th from Phalen Funeral Home to Saint Francis Church in Torrington for a Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow at New Saint Francis Cemetery.

Friends may call 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, June 15th at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. on line memorials www.
