Torrington- Theresa E. Hinckley, 99, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph B. Hinckley. Mrs. Hinckley was born in Torrington on April 27, 1919, daughter of the late Guiseppe and Emilia (Martingneni) Meda, and had been a lifelong city resident.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and flowers. She will be remembered by family and friends for her kind and generous nature. Survivors include a son, James Hinckley of Torrington; a daughter, Shirley Allshouse of Winsted; two grandchildren, Wendy Allshouse of Winsted, and Scott Allshouse and his wife Kristen of Granby; three great-granddaughters, Megan, Emily, and Katelyn Allshouse; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Hinckley was predeceased by a son, Gary Hinckley. Services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington.

Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00a.m. until the time of service. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
