Francis Carey, 58, of Goshen, CT passed away Thursday, July 12th, in Manchester. Francis was born in Torrington, CT on July 19, 1959, a son of the late Faye (Spiotta) and Joseph Carey and graduated from Oliver Wolcott Tech Class of 1978. He was the owner of Carey Construction.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed golf, hiking, hunting and fishing, and camping and was a long time member of the Eagles Club. He was always available for aid and comfort for family and friends. He is survived by brothers Anthony and Paul Carey of Torrington, nephew Joseph Carey and nieces Kaitlyn and Kristina Carey.

He was predeceased by brother William Carey. Friends may call 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, July 20th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington with a Celebration of Fran’s Life following at The Eagles Club 222 Main St Torrington. Memorial Contributions can be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
