Todd F. Newman, 50, of Torrington passed away peacefully Sunday July 1st at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Todd was born in Winsted December 25, 1967 son of the late Mary (Mangione) and Ralph Newman. Following High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was employed in the heating and air conditioning field for several years prior to his illness. He enjoyed kayaking at area lakes and ponds. “We love you and miss you Uncle Pirate”.

He is survived by nephew Nickolas Newman and niece Shannyn Newman and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his brother Gary Newman. The family wishes to thank the 5th floor staff at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for their kind and compassionate care during this difficult time.

Memorial Donations can be made to 5th Floor at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. At Todd’s request there will be no service.
