Torrington – Elizabeth (Betty) VanDeusen, wife of the late Louis VanDeusen passed peacefully on July 10, 2018 at the age of 89. She leaves behind her children, Gail Doolittle, Cindi Lostritto, Karin VanDeusen, Robert VanDeusen and five grandchildren Kathi Schapp, Krista Petry, Carl, Anna and Peter Lostritto. She was the daughter of the late Otto and Blanche (Sekulski) Aust.

Dedicated mother and grandmother who loved the outdoors – swimming, camping, cross country skiing and gardening. She enjoyed country line dancing and singing in her church choir. She was a member of the First Congregational Church for seventy – seven years.

For many years she dealt with dementia with sweetness and grace and touched the lives of those who cared for her on her journey. Although she will be greatly missed by her family they rest assured she is with loved ones and the Lord. Service is private at the convenience of the family.
