Carl Michelet, 77, of Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joan (Goulet) Michelet. Carl was born June 1, 1941, in Torrington, CT, son of the late Silvio and Olga (Cavagnero) Michelet.

He was employed by The Torrington Company as an Accountant until his retirement. He is survived by two sons, Marc Michelet and his wife Patricia of Ocala, FL, Marek Michelet of Torrington, CT; one daughter, Melissa Wiggin and her husband David of Boca Raton, FL; two sisters, Barbara Watson of Huntington Beach, CA, Bonnie Michelet of Burlington, CT; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his close companion Phyllis Vanotti, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia O’Shaughnessy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Cancer Care, 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington, CT 06790.
