Torrington- Mary C. Carlson, 89, passed away peacefully to meet her Lord, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald K. Carlson. Mrs. Carlson was born in Torrington on June 6, 1929, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Kusmercak) Fedor, and had been a lifelong city resident.

She was a retired employee of the Torrington Company, retiring with 18 years of service. Mary was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Church, a graduate of the former Sacred Heart School, and a member of the Sullivan Senior Center. She enjoyed reading, walking, and puzzles.

Survivors include a son, Thomas G. Carlson and his wife Mehrzad of Glastonbury; three daughters, Deborah L. Lucas and her husband John of New Hartford, Darlene L. Carlson of Daytona Beach, FL, and Lisa M. Lane of St. Augustine Beach, FL; a brother, Michael Fedor of CA; two sisters, Marguerite Kiernan and RoseMarie Foth and her husband David, all of Torrington; a sister-in-law, Linda Fedor of Torrington; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Michael, John IV, Keith, Kevin, and Jennifer; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Oliver, Jason, Logan, and Caleb; a great-great-granddaughter, Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Carlson was predeceased by two brothers, John Fedor and Edward Fedor; and a sister, Ann Brooks. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at noon.

Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:30a.m. to 11:30a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Paul the Great Parish, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790.
