Torrington- Marlene J. Madigan, 84, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center, Torrington. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Madigan. Mrs. Madigan was born in Winsted on April 5, 1934, daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie (Wood) Anderson, and had been an area resident in her early years, moving to Hatfield, MA for 5 years, before returning to Torrington 40 years ago.

She enjoyed cooking, sewing, ceramics, gardening, and loved her dog, Lucy. Survivors include a son, Kevin Madigan and his wife Kelli of Winsted, and a daughter, Lisa A. Madigan and her husband Steve Dumas of Chaplin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect St., Torrington.

Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 10:00a.m. until the time of service. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd S #4b, Southington, CT 06489.
