David’s Obituary David Dwayne Tippit, 51, of Alpine, CA, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Sharp’s Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, CA. He was born on May 24, 1967, in Chicago, IL, to Joan Collier Tippit and the late Donald Dwayne Tippit. David was a self-employed painter.

He served his country in the United States Air Force. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Weeks and Bro.

Dennis Knowles officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. The family will receive visitors from 12-2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his daughter, Presley Alexander Tippit of Nashville; his mother, Joan Tippit of Dyersburg; his wife, Stacey King of Alpine, CA; two sisters, Donna Tippit Parson and Amanda Tippit Hollingsworth, both of Dyersburg; a grandson, Owen Gaines; a step-daughter, Amanda King of Alpine, CA; a niece, Heather Lawson; and three nephews, Walter Allen Parson, Jr., Joshua Chadwick and Caleb Hollingsworth. Pallbearers will be Jerry Wade Yates, Cotton Brewer, Richie Clancy, Terrell Suiter, David Gaines and Steve Kozbiel.
