David E. Edleblute, 67, of York, died on February 8, 2019 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Vickie L. (Quickel) Edleblute of York. Born in York Co. on September 14, 1951, he was the son of the late Luther and Fairy (Spangler) Edleblute, and was raised by his foster parents, Charles and Dorcas Hinkle.

He was a 1969 graduate of York Vo-Tech and worked in the chrome room at Harley-Davidson for 34 years. David was a member of the UAW and AARP. In addition to his wife, David is survived by three children, Michael Edleblute of York, Dana Wenger of York and Corey Edleblute of Lebanon; five grandchildren; a sister, Linda King of New York; brother, James Edleblute of York; and two foster brothers, Lynn Hinkle of Yorkana and Jeffrey Hinkle of New Bridgeville.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Edleblute. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. A viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail N. York, PA 17406.
