David Bishop, age 65, of Rogersville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2019, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Della Bishop; two sisters, Rachel and Elizabeth Bishop; and one brother, Amos Bishop Jr He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Beverly Bishop; daughter and granddaughter, Michelle and Sarah Gillespie; two sisters, Mary Jane and Verlie Bishop; brother, Everett Bishop; two daughters by marriage, Samantha Waddell and Catrena Rogers; one son by marriage, Eric Rogers; three grandchildren by marriage, Jason and Cadence Lawson and Isabella Waddell; several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Church of God, located on the corner of Clay and Watterson Streets, with Ralph Washington and Tony Justice officiating. Music will be provided by family and friends. Everyone is welcome to attend.
