Edward Roy Way, 77, of Rogersville passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, January 18th, 2019 after a long, hard fought battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Edward was a retiree from Eastman Chemical Company, having worked there for nearly 45 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and fought in the Vietnam war.

He was a true Tennessee Vols fan. The only thing he loved more than any of the UT sports, were his grandchildren. Edward’s greatest joy in life however, were his three great grandbabies Atley, Axton and Elena.

Edward was the most kindhearted, giving, and caring person. He selflessly loved his daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than anything in the world. They were truly the apples of his eye.

As he was theirs also. The loved and adored their Papaw-Man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Clinton Way and Bessie Julia Way (Arnold).

He is survived and will be greatly missed by his two daughters: Missy Testerman (husband David), and Robin Greene (husband Tim); His grandchildren: Sloane Greene (Kalen Hagood), Brennan Greene (D.J. Willis), Race, Cheney, and Neeley Greene; Andrew and Caroline Testerman. All of Rogersville. He is also survived by three sisters, Gladys Murry, Cleo (George) Davis, and AvaNeal Taylor.

The family would like to especially thank Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center, as well as Dr. Micheal Savona, Robert Hall, and Leroy Dimopoulos, and staff, for becoming a part of the family by taking such interest in Edward’s care. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, January 21st, 2019 at Occasions on the Square, 101 W. Main Street, Rogersville, TN. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.
