Rev. Hubert Clay Drinnon, age 86, of Rogersville, went to be with the Lord, Sunday (2/24/19). He was the former pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He loved the Lord, and was a song writer with his most popular song being, “There is Absolutely Nothing My God Can’t Do”. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia Drinnon; daughter, Barbara Adams; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Drinnon; daughter, Brenda McLain; step-son, Joey Helton; grandchildren, Jerry McLain, Johnny McLain, Nikki McLain, Mickey McLain, Jimmy Adams, Jeff Adams, and Kacie Gardner; and several great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday (3/1/19) at Christian-Sells Funeral Home with Rev.

Galley Watts and Rev. Bob Simpson officiating. Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday (3/2/19) at Morrison Cemetery in Beech Creek Community.
