Obituary for David J. Marchenkuski David J. (Red) Marchenkuski, age 77, of Berlin, passed away at home early Friday morning, June 1, 2018. He was born on December 11, 1940, the son of Robert and Florine (Pernitzky) Marchenkuski. David was a 1959 Berlin High School graduate.

He served in the US Army from 1963-1965 stationed in Italy. He was later employed as a truck driver for Ripon Food’s delivering Rippin’ Good Cookies. He also drove and delivered gas for the Redgranite Skelgas/Ferrellgas Company.

He finished his working career as a janitor for the Berlin School System and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish, a Third Degree Knight of Father Fiss Knights of Columbus Council #1547, a member of the VFW Wells-Krause Post #2925, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Berlin River Riders Snowmobile Club. David enjoyed bowling, farming, church activities, traveling, brat fry’s, a good cheeseburger, fish fry’s, and sweets-especially donuts.

He also enjoyed the chance of winning a raffle and the lottery. He also enjoyed being a Dolly Parton fan. He is survived by his longtime, always together companion, Barbara Martin; sisters, Barbara (Butch) Resop, Mary (Dan) Armatowski; brother, Bobby Marchenkuski; many nieces, nephews, friends and the Martin family.
