Mr. David James Richardson, III “Pooh” David James Richardson, III, was born on May 22, 2000 to David James Richardson, Jr. and Laura King Tate. David was an energetic young man with a smile that could light up a room. He attended Excel High School until the 11th grade and then began working on his GED.

He was set to take his GED test at the end of this month. Pooh, as he was affectionately called, enjoyed hanging out family and friends. A typical teenager, he spent hours sitting in front of his gaming station playing video games and listening to his favorite music.

He was a natural athlete and liked basketball and football. In the early morning hours of Sunday, July 8, 2018, the death Angel stole him away, breaking the hearts of those who loved him most. Pooh leaves behind many friends and a devoted family to cherish his memories, including his parents: Laura (Neco) Tate and David (Judy) Richardson, Jr. both of Excel, AL; four brothers: Jonathan King of Excel, AL, Jarrell Lee, DaTarius Riley, and D’Marcus Odom all of Monroeville, AL; four sisters: Angela King, Aniah Parker and Kylee Parker all of Excel, AL, and Kenya Lee of Monroeville, AL; a special uncle: John Lee of Monroeville, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
