David’s Obituary David Smith Taylor passed away at his home on the afternoon of March 16th. He is preceded in death by his wife, Billie Taylor, and brothers Jack and William Taylor. He is survived by his son Mark Taylor, grandchildren Sarah Owen, Valerie Gordon, Matthew Taylor, and Hana Yeskoo as well as eight great-grandchildren.

David served his country during World War II in the European theater. Upon returning home he enrolled at Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a degree in accounting. David married Billie Joyce Wiese in 1950 and later welcomed their son, Mark.

David retired from Texas Instruments in 1989 where he utilized his accounting degree. He enjoyed traveling, sports and spending time with family. He also enjoyed singing in the choir at First Baptist Church where he and Billie remained members for over fifty years.

David was a devout Christian and his family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace with his wife whom he missed deeply. There will be a service for David at First Baptist Church of Dallas in the Truett Chapel on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM with visitation before at 10:00, on Tuesday at 1:00 PM there will be a graveside service at DFW National Cemetery.
