Obituary for Dean E. Cody Cody, Dean E., of High Ridge, Missouri was born August 4, 1949, in Hammond, Indiana, to John and Marilyn (nee Goodman) Cody and entered into rest, Friday, July 20, 2018, at his residence at the age of 68 years 11 months and 16 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Diane Cody. He is survived by, his wife, Susan (nee Ray) Cody, of High Ridge, Missouri, married April 25, 2008, One (1) child, Eve P. Reed, of St. Louis, Missouri, One (1) grandchild, Haileigh Sue Fitting, one (1) Sibling, Anne (Jack Junttila) Cody, of Washington, brother in law, Charlie W. Ray, of High Ridge, Missouri, and many other family and friends.

Dean enjoyed playing the guitar, baking pies, being outdoors especially in the garden. Dean has a PhD in Philosophy, he worked at St. Louis University and SIUE. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, loved collecting tractors and spent 30 years of his life with Susan.

He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial service Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the General Scholarship Fund SIUE or Open Door Animal Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Rd.
