Deborah Kay Reed, 62, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield. Private graveside services will take place at the Lyons, Kansas Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Deborah’s name may be made to ResCare of Winfield, contributions may be left in care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home – 803 Loomis St. Winfield, KS 67156.

Deborah was born in Sterling, Kansas on February 10, 1957 to parents Eugene E. Reed and Jaquline A. (Brice-Nash) Revel. She was raised at the Winfield State Hospital and in 1995 moved to the care of South Wind ResCare. Deborah loved being warm and sitting in the sun, playing with her hands and she was nicknamed “Little Motor Boat”.

Deborah is survived by her mother Jackie Revel, sisters: Beckie (Jesse) Oden, Jeanie Maze, and Cindy Binkley; guardian Kathy Nelson as well as many friends and the staff at ResCare. She is preceded in death by her father.
